Visiting Montepulciano was a delightful way to start the perfect day. After taking a few photos at the piazza, we sauntered down the beautiful cobblestone streets.
The day that changed my life. I thought I knew how to live well, until this day was over, and then I’d really learned how to live.
All the ladies love my husband. Margaret and Monica with R.

Dang, that was one sexy Italian man and his adorable son.
I love Italian people. This cute little family posed for the camera for me. How cute is that sweet little girl?
Pretty flower box. I was amazed at the great extents people went to so that they could have a garden, even if it was small.
We walked down the streets with time on our hands and decided to stop for a drink. Never too early for bierre for our friend Craig. Dena and I ordered drinking chocolate. Oh my. SO much better and richer than American drinking chocolate.
Enjoying a drink at the cute little cafe.
Thick, rich drinking chocolate. Mmmmm.
If I could find this in the US, I’d buy it by the case (and then gain a lot of weight from it!).

This gorgeous pottery was calling my name. I didn’t buy any with fears that it would break on the way home and I wasn’t willing to pay the astronomical shipping prices. Although someday when I return, I will buy a piece.
