This all began as a day dream with a few pushes from a couple ladies by the name of Marilyn and Donna. I’d see these ladies at the gym, and they’d encourage and nudge me to start teaching cooking classes. Marilyn said she was jealous when she read on Facebook what I was making for dinner.
With a wonderful husband encouraging me, a little planning, a “why not see where this takes me” attitude, I launched Social in November 2009.
You might wonder why this site is Find Your Wings Social. It’s because as cliche as it sounds, I’ve found that when you do what makes you truly happy, you’ve found your wings.
The first two months of cooking classes were a great success, and I’m very eager to get back in the kitchen and teach again! See you in class!
A few thanks first – to Kylie who made my beautiful logo and always is a great sounding board for me and my crazy ideas.
And to my “regulars” in class – Marilyn, Donna and Rhonda. Thank you for your ongoing support and for bringing your friends and your zest into my kitchen!
Last but not least, thanks to Jan Roth and her lovely friends who braved the crazy frigid temperatures and slushy roads from TOPEKA nonetheless and joined us for the Tuscan class.
Hope to see you all in class soon!

It is definitely worth the drive from Topeka to soak up the smells, the tastes and the hospitality you provide in your kitchen/home! Susan and I are still talking about the tour you gave us after the Lebanese class – my mouth is now watering for an almond croissant. . .
